Bear is a Goldendoodle from Coquitlam

Our family doesn’t feel complete without a family pet and after we lost our Wheaton Terrier back in 2008 we decided to get a new dog. There were going to be some differences in our approach this time, we were going to make sure we had some type of consistent training plan. We had issues with the training of our previous dog and tried many different trainers with no real results.
We decided we were going to get a Golden Doodle for various reasons; one being my daughter has Asthma and we were told the Golden Doodle is relatively shed free; the other reason is we were looking for a good natured/easy going dog. We saw an ad in the newspaper for Golden Doodle puppies in Mission and decided to go see. Out of the litter of many puppies Bear stood out and it was love at first sight for me. He had the sweetest personality and just seemed to be the one.
Once we got Bear home we knew we needed to start a training program in the next few months. From the start Bear was very difficult to walk as he pulled and, because he is a big dog and very strong, it was not enjoyable for him or us.
My husband saw Jeff’s van with the slogan "Sit Happens" on it and thought the name was funny so , with no other reason than the catchy name, we contacted Jeff on the website. Sit Happens called us the next day and we set up an appointment to meet in our home.
During the first few sessions in our home they helped us train Bear to “come” “stay” and “heal”. I was completely impressed by how fast they helped us get Bear under control and Bear seemed to really enjoy the time we spent together training.
Bear now enjoys the group training sessions and he has become a well mannered and happy member of our family thanks to Sit Happens. When we go to the park other dog owners will mention how well mannered and obedient Bear is. It is so nice to be able to feel you have control of your dog in any situation.
Sit Happens is extremely helpful and I am very happy we found them.
